Large Yachts
Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design was formed by two sailors, Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau. The first years were initially marked by designing racing yachts. In both IRC and offshore racing, their victories and successful plans soon attracted the attention of shipyards and shipowners, including the design of large and innovative units. Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design’s path then opened onto what has since added value: cutting edge large yachts whose DNA will always be that of sailing far and fast, but also elegantly and comfortably.
The very first yacht of their now stunning series of large yachts was, in 2001, the refit of Orejona. The challenge was to modernise and improve the comfort of this beautiful design by De Vries in1972 by lengthening the hull and incorporating a large deck saloon, without changing either its lines or performance.
