AMEL 64, a modern slant on tradition

Created by Henry Amel in 1962, in La Rochelle , the eponymous shipyard has built its reputation by producing robust yachts that are both comfortable and simple to operate.
The Amel team turned to us in 2010 to design its new flagship yacht, the Amel 65. This unit echoes all the design features that have always been core to the brand’s success: a central cockpit, covered helm, control lines brought back to the cockpit and, of course, ketch rigging.
On the resolutely modern hull, we’ve re-thought and streamlined the exterior styling . Clever storage for a 3.4m tender has been incorporated into the rear transom. Layout and interior design remain seaworthy and luxurious, while benefitting from innovative touches ...
After the launch of the 64, our collaboration continued with the Amel 55, culminating in the design of the current Amel 50 and 60. Both have been awarded the prestigious title of European Yacht of the Year, respectively in 2018 and 2020, and are worthy heirs to the Amel DNA, with a vision adapted to luxury cruising at the very start of this third millennium.
